Thiruvallavaazh Divyadesam - Thiruvalla Sree Vallaba Temple - Sri Vallaba Kshetram
Once there was a
woman named Sankaramangalathamma lived here nearer to the temple observed
Ekadasi Vradha regularly and had a practice of serving food to some Brahmin Bachelor.
But she was harassed a lot by an asura named “Tholakasuran”. She was requesting
Paranthaman to safeguard her from the demon. On one Ekadasi Day, Sreeman
Narayanan came in disguise as a Bachelor to get the food from the woman. The food
was served by Mangalathamma. But the Demon came and hurdled both a lot. Sreeman
Narayanan finally destroyed the demon using His Discus. It is believed that the
Sudharshana Chakra was sent to destroy the Demon is the place where Chakrathalwar
can be worshipped inside the temple. Moreover Thiruvalla is the One and Only
Malainadu Divyadesam where devotees can worship Chakrathalwar behind Sanctum
Sanctorum. As Sreeman Narayanan came here with Mahalakshmi having in His Chest,
He is being worshipped as Thiru Vaazh Maarban. Thiru – Mahalakshmi. Vaazh –
Residing. Maarban – Having in the Chest.

with Maha Vishnu having Mahalakshmi in His Chest and His Powerful Sudharshanam
behind Him here in Thiruvalla.
Once Kandakarnan – A Chief
of Siva Ganangal, was instructed by Lord Shiva to worship Sree Vallaban through the
“Ashtakshara Mantra” – The Eight Syllable Holy Word. Kandakarnan to avoid other
