Thiruputkuzhi Divyadesam - Prarthana Sthalam for Getting Married and Progeny for the Childless Couples
Jadayu Moksha Sthalam ‐ After revealing the happenings, Jadayu attained Moksha and
the last rites were done by Sree Rama here. It is believed that Sree Rama was not able
to do His last rites to his father Emperor Dasaratha, as he was in the forest and
beacause of that he has done the last rites to Jadayu by which he derived some
consolation as Jadayu was like His Second Father to Sree Rama. The temple tank is
being worshipped as Jadayu Theertham, which was created by Sree Rama through His
arrow to take a holy bath when he was performing the last rites for Jadayu. Both
Bhoodevi and Sreedevi have their faces averted to one side as they did not want to
show their sorrow to others at the time when Sree Rama was performing the last rites
for Jadayu. Besides Sreedevi was blessing by sitting on the right of Almighty unusually
instead of Left Side where as Bhoodevi sits on Right Side instead of Left Side usually.
